Indulge your cat's craving for greens with SmartyKat SweetGreens cat grass seeds. Many veterinarians believe cats crave a grassy treat because it adds roughage to their carnivorous diets. Unfortunately, the most easily available source is often houseplants, chemically treated lawns or common garden plants that can be poisonous to cats.

SweetGreens are sweet-tasting oat grass seeds that are simple to grow and are safe for your cat. The naturally nutritious, munchable grass contains vitamins, minerals and chlorophyll, a natural breath freshener.

Directions:

Add 1-2 tablespoons of seeds to a small pot filled with potting soil. Cover seeds with a small amount of soil and completely moisten with water. Drain excess water and place in a warm, dark location.

Add water to keep soil moist, but do not over water. Once growth is visible, move to a sunny spot and water just enough to keep soil moist.

When sprouts are about 4" high, place in a location accessible to your cat. Sprouts will wither naturally in several weeks and can be added to your compost.


Planting Suggestions: For best results, grow organically. Use organic soil and do not add chemical fertilizers or pesticides. You may wish to start a new pot of SweetGreens every few weeks so your cat will always have the safe, healthy greens it craves.
